OCTOBER IS PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH: A basket will be in the Narthex for you to place your tokens of appreciation for our pastors!
TRUNK-OR-TREAT: Wednesday, October 24 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the large parking lot. We are in need of the following help: cake donations for the Cake Walk, decorated trunks with candy to be passed out (please no nuts), and people to help man game booths. There is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex. Call the office with questions.
VETERANS DAY CONCERT: November 4 at 3 p.m. in the Sanctuary. A presentation of patriotic music to honor our Veterans. Donations for this concert will be used to hire the Stradivarius String Ensemble for Christmas Eve. If you would like to donate prior to the concert please mark “Veterans” on the envelope.
STEWARDSHIP SUNDAY: Be sure to pick up a Pledge Card November 4 and prayerfully consider your pledge amount. Cards will be collected through the end of December.
NEW MEMBER CLASS: Nov. 4, we will have a new member class for anyone interested in becoming a member of the church. Meet at 9:45 a.m. in the Historical Room.
CHURCH CONFERENCE: Church members are invited to attend the annual church conference on Nov. 11 at 3:15 p.m., which will be held at St. John’s Haitian Church (3215 N. Seacrest Blvd, Boynton Beach, FL 33435).
CRANBERRY SAUCE COLLECTION: Our goal this year is to collect 300 cans of cranberry sauce for the Community Caring Center’s Thanksgiving Basket drive. Please leave your cans in the Narthex. All cans are due by Sunday, November 11.
YOUNG AT HEART: November 18 at 2 p.m. we will be heading to the Willow Theater in Boca to see “Approaching the Speed of Life.” For tickets ($15 each) and information, contact Pastor Parker (954-651-2636).
MESSAGE FROM THE TRUSTEES:Please be aware that the building doors will be locked at 10:20 a.m. on Sundays, except for the Narthex doors, which will remain unlocked throughout the service.
MONTHLY COMMUNION OFFERING: Every first Sunday of the month, the church collects for a special mission. Our November Mission is designated to General Missions. Please mark Communion Offering on your check envelope.
AV System Fundraiser: Our AV Upgrade Project collection continues! To date, we have received $15,811.50 out of the total $32,000 needed. Should you choosto donate, please note “Audio/Visual System Upgrade” on your offering envelope.
HOLY HANDS: Meeting times and locations change; please contact Denise Caruso (561-470-5633) for information on the meeting times.
GALAXY ELEMENTARY CONNECTION: We are looking for church members interested in serving Galaxy Elementary through their Reading Program; also, we are collecting new or gently-used shoes and uniform pants, shorts and/or skirts (tan, navy and black only); and new socks and underwear. Items should be children’s size 4 and up. Please contact Pastor Parker (954-651-2632) for more information.

There is always a place in ministry for everyone! If you feel led to share your God-given talents, please contact the office. We have openings in the following positions: TECH TEAM- Those interested in helping with our Sunday Morning Services (helping with the sound and screens); Altar Flower Deliveries (to go to our shut-ins); Ushers; Hand Bell and Chancel Choirs; and Youth Group. No experience is necessary as we will train! Please call the office if you are interested.
HANDBELL REHEARSAL: Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in the handbell room. Still searching for a few new ringers (reading music helps but is not necessary). See Tom for more info.
PAIRS & SPARES: meets Sundays at 8:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall and all are welcome.
JOY CLASS: meets every Sunday at 8:45 a.m. in the Parlor for an adult Bible Study. Everyone is welcome to attend. Contact Janet Fetty with questions.
SARAH CIRCLE: will begin meeting on the third Wednesday of every month beginning with the October meeting on October 17 at 7:00 p.m. All women are invited to attend this Bible study filled with food, fellowship and fun. Contact Janie Alpert, Sally Smith or the church office for more information.
