2018 CHRISTMAS PAGEANT at First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale is Saturday, December 1. Contact Tom Bates (678-386-9102) to purchase your tickets: Artist Circle Seats (15 available) cost $65/person, and Main Floor Seats (15 available) cost $48/person. Transportation is available for those interested, for $25/person. (There is no lunch this year.)

 MONTHLY COMMUNION OFFERING: Every first Sunday of the month, the church collects for a special mission. Our July Mission is designated to “Food Pantry” at the CROS Caring Kitchen.  Please mark Communion Offering on your check envelope.

AV System Fundraiser: Our AV Upgrade Project collection continues! To date, we have received $14,216.50 out of the total $32,000 needed. Should you choose to donate, please note “Audio/Visual System Upgrade” on your offering envelope.

LUNCH BUNCH: Every Sunday after the second service, a group meetsat a local restaurant to spend time in fellowship. If you would like to participate, please meet at the back of the sanctuary after the service.

GALAXY ELEMENTARY CONNECTION: We are looking for church members interested in serving Galaxy Elementary through their Reading Program; also, we are collecting new or gently-used shoes and uniform pants, shorts and/or skirts (tan, navy and black only); and new socks and underwear. Items should be children’s size 4 and up. Please contact Pastor Parker (954-651-2632) for more information.

There is always a place in ministry for everyone! If you feel led to share your God-given talents, please contact the office. We have openings in the following positions: TECH TEAM- Those interested in helping with our Sunday Morning Services (helping with the sound and screens); Altar Flower Deliveries (to go to our shut-ins); Ushers; Hand Bell and Chancel Choirs; and Youth Group. No experience is necessary as we will train! Please call the office if you are interested.

RUTH CIRCLE: Next meeting is Tuesday, May 8 at 10 a.m. at 10 a.m. in the Agapé Room to hear guest speaker Audrey Chitrala speak about growing up in India as a missionary’s daughter, followed by going out to lunch afterwards. All are welcome!

NEW SUNDAY BIBLE STUDY: On July 8, the JOY Class and Pairs & Spares will be  joining together on Sunday mornings at 8:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall, for a 6-week, DVD-based Bible study on Christianity, Cults and Religions, with former “Bible Answer Man” co-host Paul Carden. Come learn how Mormonism differs from Christianity, the   difference between Suni and Shi’ite Muslims, and how you can effectively share your faith.

HOLY HANDS (SIGN LANGUAGE MINISTRY): If you have an interest in learning sign language, then please join us as we learn together, one song at a time. No knowledge of sign language is necessary!
