PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH: A basket has been placed in the Narthex for you to place your tokens of appreciation for our pastors!

CRANBERRY SAUCE COLLECTION: Help us to collect 200 cans of cranberry sauce for the Community Caring Center’s Thanksgiving Basket drive. Please leave your cans in the Narthex. All cans are due by Sunday, November 3.

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN: Saturday, October 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.         at First UMC Fort Pierce. Cost is $15 for materials, continental breakfast and home-cooked lunch. Please contact Teressa White with questions (tess142@jumo.com).

MEN’S RAINBOW RIVER RETREAT: October 24-27. It’s time for Christian fellowship, with good fun, food and relaxation. Cost is $95. To register or for information contact Chuck Emerton at 561-797-5854 or email faithmensgroupbb@gmail.com.

Annual Church Conference: Sunday, November 10 in the Fellowship Hall. Bring a finger food to share at the 12:00 p.m. potluck followed by the meeting at 12:30 p.m. D.S. Dionne Hammond will be present to discuss your churches.

 2019 CHRISTMAS PAGEANT: will be Saturday, December 7 (departing the church at 12:00 p.m.). Please contact Pastor Parker (954-651-2636) to purchase your tickets: Still  available are (9) Artist Circle tickets ($67/per.) and (12) Main Floor tickets ($50/per.). Roundtrip transportation is available for $20/person. (There is no lunch this year.)

RUTH CIRCLE: will recommence in November, but is still collecting: travel-sized soap, shampoo and lotion; full-sized deodorant, toothbrush & toothpaste, and disposable razors continues throughout the year. Contact Joan Alt with any questions. 561-732-7989.

UMCOR: The United Methodist Committee on Relief has awarded a solidarity grant to Bahamas Methodist Habitat, the Disaster Ministry of the Bahamas Conference of the Methodist Church. This grant provides immediate, emergency short term funding to     address the basic human needs of those affected by this catastrophic storm. You can join with UMCOR by donating to their disaster response and recovery funds. Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Mark your donations UMCOR or visit UMCOR.org.

 Monthly Communion Offering: Every first Sunday of the month, the church collects for a special mission. Our October Mission is for General Missions.

18-2-LIFE: All 18-28 year olds are invited to have pizza with Pastor Wayne Masiker (561-364-5840) Wednesdays from 8:30-9:30 p.m. at Peter Piper Pizza (3961 Jog Rd, Greenacres).

AV System Fundraiser: Our Audio Visual Upgrade Project collection continues! To date, we have received $19,555.00 out of the total $32,000 needed. Should you choose to donate, please note “Audio/Visual System Upgrade” on your offering envelope.

HOLY HANDS: Meeting times and locations change; please contact Denise Caruso (561-470-5633) for information on the meeting times.

GALAXY ELEMENTARY CONNECTION: We are looking for church members interested in serving Galaxy Elementary through their Reading Program; also, we are collecting new or gently-used shoes and uniform pants, shorts and/or skirts (tan, navy and black only); and new socks and underwear.  JOB OPPORTUNITY:  Rental Event Coordinator: Part-time position with responsibilities to include marketing the facilities as rentable space, coordinating all aspects of the rental process from start to end including meeting with potential renters, handling all paperwork, and being   on-site during the rental time.  VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 

There is always a place in ministry for everyone! If you feel led to share your God-given talents, please contact the office. We have openings in the following positions: TECH TEAM- Those interested in helping with our Sunday Morning Services (helping with the sound and screens); Altar Flower Deliveries (to go to our shut-ins); Ushers; Hand Bell and Chancel Choirs; and Youth Group. No experience is necessary as we will train! Please call the office if you are interested.

JOY CLASS: meets every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in the Parlor for an adult Bible Study.  Everyone is welcome to attend. Contact Janet Fetty with questions.

 WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY: meets every Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the parlor.

HOLY HANDS (SIGN LANGUAGE MINISTRY): If you have an interest in learning sign language, then please join us as we learn together, one song at a time. No knowledge of sign language is necessary!
